“What’s wrong now?” Leeland asked, perching himself carefully on the girder so he wouldn’t slip off into the abyss. He kept a careful arm wrapped around the baby, despite the sturdy carrier. Michael rubbed at his hair before attempting to leap onto the pole next to the other boy.

“What wrong?” Fabian asked, clicking his teeth as he leaned back. He kept a firm grip on the pole. “Oh nothing much really. Just stuck on a half dead planet with a guy with my face and a kid who turned into a cat. Oh and I can teleport. My therapist is going to have a field day with this one.” Fabian snorted, wondering how far he could spit into the ruins.

Leeland glanced up at him with thoughtful expression. “And Spencer.” He pointed out, bouncing the infant gently with his arms. Fabian rolled his eyes. “Yeah, and space Jesus.” But he smiled softly.

No, his therapist wouldn’t believe him at all. Not that she ever did to begin with.

So I realised the other day that I hadn’t thanked EK properly for being in my context book last year. It was one of my best projects and it’s now being used as an example to the current 3rd years on the BA Graphics course I graduated from last year.

So here’s TJ and Amal for her from her epic web comic: The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal. (NSFW - not that that ever stopped me from posting it on my uni blog)
